18. The Asking
Sitting on her heels, hands cupped in her lap, body open, and eyes relaxed but maintaining connection, THE ASKING shows a fae waiting for an answer. In order to wait, she first had to ask, and risk rejection. Through this card we are reminded that asking is a vulnerable and courageous act that many don't allow themselves to do. THE ASKING reminds us that it doesn't cost anything to daydream, and the way we deepen our relationships with other beings-- and ourselves-- is to simply ask.
This card is part of the FOREST Suit in the Woven Wisdom Oracle, which asks us to closely examine the things in our natural/default settings that we commonly pay no mind to. Which details in your life are you encouraged to engage with more fully?
Could relate to: seeking a raise or new assignment/project, needing more information, taking a chance in a private matter.
What holds me back from asking for help or more information?
How does vulnerability in this instance make me feel?
What does courage look like to me?
What are some reasons I haven't asked for things in the past?
YES/NO: YOU WILL NOT KNOW UNLESS YOU ASK DIRECTLY.
