25. Tower Escape

TOWER ESCAPE shows up when there is a narrow opportunity that must be taken advantage of, before that opportunity (at its most beneficial) disappears.  In the story of Rapunzel, the namesake character is trapped and must wait for her captor to go away before any action can be taken to escape to true freedom. This might involve a fair bit of timing, waiting for a friend or ally to help set conditions to support this effort, but in any case: beware of making your plans too well known.  Toxic people will ensure that your options are limited.

The Fables Suit addresses different angles of popular stories and fairy tales that we have internalized.  What beliefs about yourself and the world around you appear in this card, which might need to be refreshed, updated, or left behind?

Could relate to: changing phases in a relationship, a job opportunity, an important conversation, purchasing or selling a home, moving locations.

Key Questions:

  • What things have I avoided making a committed decision to?

  • What am I hoping will happen, if I wait on making a decision? How likely are those things to occur?

  • Which friends can I lean on as I commit to this action?

  • Which people have played an important role in my life, who are not healthy for me as I make decisions?

YES/NO:  This card is a YES, ACT QUICKLY card.
