32. The Polestar

This Crone is nothing to be messed with: perhaps this truth is found in her wrinkled smirk, her determined grip on her hickory wand, the vibrant aura she seems to carry with her.  Her eyes are strong, and firm, and critical; but not unloving.  In fact, she seems almost challenging.  THE POLESTAR is a nautical term for the North Star, the celestial body by which all measurement and azimuth is determined.  We all need this person in our life at some point or another, but when this card appears during a reading, the querent is being called to be that person for themselves or others.  We are encouraged to leverage the absolutes of our character and lean hard into them.  We are called and endorsed by the universe to be a beacon by which others may guide themselves.  Make sure all goals are aligned to leverage these strengths and values-- otherwise there will be friction where there doesn't have to be.

This card is part of the AUTUMN Suit in the Woven Wisdom Oracle, which notes lessons from the empowered voices in the twilight of life, who have lived experience. How can we learn from others strengths, or shortcomings?

Could relate to: a challenge you're well-suited for, an investment, a power struggle where you are the superior
