I tire of storms, the pounding rain,
the gales that beat my spirit down.
I simply wish to be at peace:
my aching bones, a settling house.
When the Querent encounters WEARINESS, it's similar to receiving a check-engine light for a car: there's a dire need to gauge your current needs, energy, and commitments in order to adjust accordingly and be able to function. Otherwise, you're in danger of giving up, developing apathy and callousness, and not being in a position to help yourself or others. Life (and learning its lessons) is a long journey, not a short one-- the crones of the AUTUMN Suit ask us if, when we get to the end, will expending all of this energy on every small thing be worth it? Now is the time to adjust course, and treat ourselves and others better. Surrender to the process, but don't be a slave to it. You have the ability to determine which actions you take, which will help or harm you and others.
This card is part of the AUTUMN Suit in the Woven Wisdom Oracle, which notes lessons from the empowered voices in the twilight of life, who have lived experience. How can we learn from others strengths, or shortcomings?
Could relate to: Burn out on a prolonged project or relationship, need to objectively look at the progressions of events, the end of a conflict requiring extended endurance, loss of a race or competition.
What are considerations that I need to be aware of in this situation, which might relate to my energy levels and commitment?
What things have I been fighting that would be easier or healthier for me to simply accept?
What are my core needs so I can prevent or recover from burn out?
Am I addressing myself as I would a respected friend?
YES/NO: YES, BUT NOT IMMEDIATELY.
